Blog and Website Promotion

Some things will never change, and using the US Postal Service for promoting any business, online or off will probably always be a viable advertising option. Years ago I used the VistaPrint online service to purchase some business cards. Although they actually had a free option available, I upgraded and paid a small sum to have my cards done. It was well worth the time and effort because I got exactly what I wanted for a very reasonable price.

Now I see that VistaPrint also has personal address labels, and I was just recently thinking of ordering some to use for one of my websites, which is a vintage gift and collectible website.

What I like about the VistaPrint service is the fact that it’s easy to use to either customize your own labels, or you can upload a graphic you already have to use for customizing. Both options are easy to do from their website. The way they make it real easy is with a template program they provide so you can be sure to get your design layout just right. Plus, the cost of the address labels is very reasonable. For less than $25.00 you can purchase over 400 labels, which for me would take some time to use up for what I have planned.

In regards to blog or website promotion, return address labels could also be used to promote your website or blog address. They could be used sort of like a business card, but only they have the sticky back on them, which could come in handy. Hmm, that gives me some new ideas to think about that I had not thought of before for my blog or website promotion.

Whatever a person might decide to do with the address labels from VistaPrint, from my own personal experience I can tell you that they have a good service and they’re reasonably priced.

VistaPrint is great. That kind of stuff put me out of business as a graphic designer. It is amazing how much has changed in the last 10-15 years.

Hi Digi,

Hey, I didn’t realize graphic design was what you did! Yes things have changed quite a bit thanks to the Internet, or I guess some would say, no thanks to the Internet - lol.

Graphic Design is my degree. Ended up more in Advertising and Marketing, but I also have been a teacher among other things.

Hi Digi,

Like many of us, we end up with degrees that eventually become the thing of the past as we move through life, and nowadays as technology changes the manner in which the various industries operate. Thanks for sharing. It’s interesting to learn about our readers. :D

I’ve recently been doing mailouts to promote sites here in Australia and haved recieved a response that makes it at least viable to continue. It’s all about getting the design and sales letter working so that it has the right % of returns based on numbers sent out

Hi Steve,
It’s always interesting to hear how various promotional efforts work in different parts of the world. Thanks for sharing!
