The other day one of my readers asked me if this site has the “no follow” attribute disabled for the comment section. WordPress is a great blogging platform, but in an attempt to try to slow down the spammers they changed their platform I believe back when version 2.0 first came out. At that time they added the “no follow” attribute to the comment portion of the script to try to discourage the spammers.
Unfortunately since the prolific spammers use robots they don’t care how much time it takes to spam thousands of blogs, and they are betting on the fact that they will hit enough that don’t use the no follow attribute, comment moderation or spam protection.
There are numerous ones you can choose from to accomplish that task so when your readers comment the robots will follow. Wordpress for blogging and for commenting is still a great platform, but sometimes you simply need to tweak some things with plugins. Thanks Digi for asking me if I had disabled the no follow attribute!

Well very good. Wordpress does have its issues. I just started such a blog and it is like starting all over.
Hi Digi,
Yes, it is starting all over when you begin a new site on your own domain, but in the long run it’s well worth it!
