Technorati Rank Link Meter
What does your Technorati rank link meter read today? What is your blog pulse? Is it up or is it down? Is it stagnant, and causing you to lack inspiration to post to your blog? If your rank isn’t satisfactory to you then you need to create not just more posts, but a larger amount of healthy incoming links! We all need link popularity, which will only occur through link exchange, and the more one-way links you can chalk up the better.
Just as you perhaps may feel about yours, I’m not happy with my Technorati stats, but I’m happy to grow toward better results along-side my members, so here we are together in the same boat, right? Right! So, what’s next?
Like the stock market, the stats go up and down, and on some days significantly. Although we can snoop at anyones Technorati stats in their profile, we can’t see what they were from a prior time period. If you wish to participate here’s how to do it:
- Look at your Technorati blog stats today!
- Write down your stats. If you are a spreadsheet fanatic, design an Excel spreadsheet to track your results.
- Track your stats preferably daily. If you are not yet creating enough link popularity through link exchange, you may not see much in the way of stat changes that frequently, so weekly will be fine at first.
- Continue to check your stats, and document them at least once a week.
Here’s an example on what your Technorati stats might look like. If you did not track the number of links that’s okay since the total statistical number is what we really want to see, and is a reflection of your link development:
John Doe’s Blog:
03/01/07 800,000
03/08/07 779,000
03/09/07 732,000
and so on.
So, track your Technorati stats to keep score where you are, but above all focus on building your link popularity through exchanging links! The funnest way to do that is with a Link & Blog Challenge!
