New Members and More News

Be sure to check back tomorrow! Over the next several days we have several new members, Kmils and LassodMoon to introduce to you, and both of these new members have multiple blogs! If you know you have joined as a member, but have not been introduced yet it may be because you have not yet registered your blogs in the directory. Please let us know if you have any problems registering in the directory or adding your blogs!

We also have more completed Link and Blog Challenges to share with you too and much more, so be sure to surf on back over to see what’s new in the next several days!

What does a software blog have in common with a blog about things such as fraud and theft? If you guessed a Link & Blog Challenge you are correct! Looking over Daryl’s software blog I realized a challenge was in order, and a challenge it was but we did it!

Now hopefully as you all catch on to creating Link & Blog challenges I won’t be the only one proposing these challenges to other members – lol! :D But, here is the how Daryl and I put our heads together to complete a challenge with our blogs.

Remember, creating relevancy with your post articles that you link together is really important, and especially if your blogs are not considered to be in the same type of category. In our case we certainly were faced with the challenge of relevancy in order to succeed with our challenge!

On my blog Money Illusions, I wrote an article to warn people how spam robots can harvest email addresses from websites if the email address is not properly protected. I then linked my post to a post Daryl wrote providing a solution to his readers on how to do that with a script on his DVBaratta Software blog. So there you have it! We created relevancy within our posts for our readers, and for practicing good seo!

Some of our new members are probably wondering if they were going to get their chance at being introduced or not. We decided to wait until after Thanksgiving in order to give them the opportunity for the most exposure. Here is one of our new members who joined before the holiday, and she is joining us all the way from New Zealand!

Shirlene has two blogs to show you, the first one is called, “Shoppers Club” and boasts some categories such as “Stuff for Kiwis”! This is one blog you can exchange links with for product reviews since that is her specialty! (EDIT: Sorry, but the url has been removed, because it was no longer a live blog url).

Her second blog is called, “GrizzlyNut City” and you must say that is a unique name! I was wondering how she came up with that name and here is what she states in her blog, “It is a one stop shop for kiwis to find everything they desire from any shop on the internet that ships to New Zealand.”

Now even if you’re not a kiwi and not living in New Zealand I’m sure you will figure out a way to create a Link and Blog Challenge with Shirlene to make her a link partner to one of your blogs.

Back on Schedule

With Thanksgiving behind us now I’ll be getting back on schedule with announcing new members, and completed Link & Blog Challenges! So be sure to check back, and don’t forget to check your personal messages to see if you have someone wanting to do a challenge with you!

Paid to Post Sites

EDIT to the Article Below: As of March 2008, this blog will no longer participate in receiving pay for advertised links unless the advertiser is willing to purchase links with the nofollow attribute in order to comply with the Google webmaster guidelines.

So you want to post for money? Who doesn’t! The guidelines vary with each of these companies, which will pay you to post ads on your blogs. The pay also varies with each service. Be sure to do your research with the ones you choose to work with.

Listing the various companies here is NOT an endorsement for any of them, nor am I getting paid to share these with you. This list is certainly not all inclusive. Feel free to comment on which ones you perhaps like or don’t like! Happy blogging!

Review Me

I’m sure you will find this worth your time to read. If you want to find a quick resource for a list of ways to make money with your blog, the dumb little man’s post has some terrific information. In fact, once you read this I’m sure you will agree with me that this blogger is no dumb little man!

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and read to see what is recommended reading for 40 ways to make money on the Internet! You never know, you just might find just one of those to be right for you!

Are you running Adsense ads on your blog? Nothing wrong with Adsense, but I thought you might find this interesting. If you are a member of Adsense be sure to be fully aware of their terms of service so you are not found to be in violation of their program.

Google hires Quality Ad Raters to perform random audits of sites which contain Adsense, and one never knows if their site is up for an audit. You may have heard this podcast message in regards to one fellows rant about Adsense, and how his account was canceled. From ISPN Media’s Test Pattern, you will find this audio to be interesting. Listen carefully as this individual speaks quickly! It’s a good heads-up to also pay close attention to the Google Adsense terms of service if you are running their ads on your blogs. (EDIT: Sorry, but the url provided is no longer working, so it has been removed from this post).
